Position: Junior Software Developer

Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Software Developer with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in application development. The ideal candidate should possess a strong foundation in programming principles, be a quick learner, and have a passion for building scalable and secure web-based systems. You will work closely with our development and operations teams to create and maintain internal platforms, including tools that support finance and loan recovery operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop, test, and maintain web applications and internal tools.

2. Collaborate with senior developers to design scalable system architecture.

3. Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems based on user feedback.

4. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.

5. Assist in API integration and third-party service implementations.

6. Participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions.

7. Ensure applications follow best practices for security and performance.

8. Maintain version control using Git or similar tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

1. Minimum 2 years of professional experience in software development.

2. Strong proficiency in at least one programming language such as PHP, JavaScript, Python, or Java.

3. Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, jQuery, React or Vue.js is a plus).

4. Basic understanding of relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL.

5. Experience with REST APIs and JSON data structures.

6. Familiarity with MVC frameworks such as CodeIgniter, Laravel, or similar.

7. Good problem-solving and debugging skills.

8. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred:

1. Experience working in a fintech or financial services environment.

2. Exposure to agile methodologies and version control systems like GitHub or Bitbucket.

3. Knowledge of secure coding practices and performance optimization.
